Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American Vietnamese entrepreneur living in the city of Orange California. With my wonderful partner JP as well as my happy father Henry. My Instagram account, @annephung, is where most people follow me. I post about my day-to-day life, both the good and the bad. In 1990 I moved to America along with my family, including my brothers and parents at the age of one and a half. If it wasn't for my parents' love of hard work and sacrifice it is likely that I would not share my story. Being aware of the possibility for a better life, I worked hard to make them proud and had tunnel vision when it came to the success. I thought my life would be a certain way: graduate from university, be offered an employment opportunity in the corporate world, then marry and begin a family. This was my vision of what it would take to be successful. But the reality of life changed my ideas. It was 2013 when I found that I hated being in my job as a corporate employee. Money and status did make me feel happy. I felt like I was wasting time for a paycheck. The passion I have for fitness as well as my love of socializing with other people led me to find my new calling as an instructor. I began my business in 2014. My company is celebrating its 7th birthday this year. There are few Asian women working in this industry. To lead in my field and provide high-quality coaching and enable others to achieve a happier and healthier life by creating a healthy lifestyle to suit their requirements and goals. Additionally, I want to encourage others to go after their desires and accomplish anything and everything they want to in life. As my career started to grow, I was struck by one of the greatest losses in my life - my mom's loss of life. She fought a long and arduous fight with the disease and now rests in Heaven and is with me in my mind and my heart all the time. There is a lot we can learn from our experiences, though we might not be able to spot it in the moment. In so many ways, my mom's death has changed my life. It is my belief that she provided me with another chance to live through her demise. In the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she died. Now it was time for her to move on to her next chapter and for me to have the chance to live one that was meaningful and enjoyable. As I enter the 30's I am more alive than I ever have. I am able to say that I live my life today instead of merely living just like I did in the past. The purpose of the story I am sharing is to show you that you're not the only one. I want you to feel that love is real and that therapy can be regular. Your health is truly the most important asset you have. Since death is the only thing that we can have, I hope you enjoy living your life to the fullest and leave with no regrets.
